IV International Mezzotint Festival
The opening ceremony of the Fourth International Mezzotint Festival and the special events will take place on 18-22 August in Ekaterinburg Museum of Fine Arts.
The festival program includes:
- Historical project. Selected prints from the Russian State Library collection
- Solo exhibitions of the prizewinners of the Third International Mezzotint Festival (2015):
• Art Werger (The USA)
• Deborah Chapman (Argentina)
• Aoife Layton (Republic of Ireland)
• Leo Rodriguez (Mexico)
- Open competition section
- Curated projects:
• «Davidson Gallery» Mezzotint Collection (USA), ñurator — Miranda K. Metcalf
• Solo exhibition by Hachmi Azza (Belgium)
• «The Crimea album» by Marina Lazareva (Russia)
We are ready to help you with getting visa if there is such opportunity between your country and Russia.
The program of these days include the opening ceremony and master-classes, city walking tours, excurcions.
Among the special events for the jury members and all participants there will be a trip to countryside including hiking, picnic and bonfire with the opportunity to discuss mezzotint brotherhood news in a relaxed atmosphere.
One more exclusive event — the trip to the copper production factory.
This year we are paying for 5 days of your staying in Ekaterinburg.
Also we will assist with your itinerary to/from Moscow or St Petersburg if you plan to visit our capitals.
By the way, Ekaterinburg celebrates its birthday on the third Saturday of August (this year it is on 20 August) therefore you\'ll have the opportunity to see the city celebration events too.
